Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
- This policy is for consumers in Washington state. It covers consumer health data, as Washington's My Health My Data Act defines it.
- We collect it only from the sources you turn on and what you tell us, with your consent, which is separate from signing up.
- We don't sell it. We share it only at your direction or where the law requires.
- You can access it, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted, at any time.
Consumer health data we collect, and why
Depending on the sources you turn on, we may collect:
- Health information, such as steps and sleep, where you turn on health access.
- Voice recordings, when you record a check-in.
- Precise location, from devices where you turn location on, which may show a visit to a place that provides health services or supplies.
- What you tell us, such as check-ins, questions and corrections, where they relate to your health.
- Information we create, such as your written days and the places and routines we work out from your record, where it may relate to your health.
We use this data only to provide the Service you ask for: to record and write your days, to answer your questions, and to learn your places and routines so that the Service works better for you. We also use it to keep the Service secure and to meet our legal obligations. We don't use it for advertising or to train AI models.
We ask for your consent before we collect it, when you turn on each source, separately from signing up. We'll ask again before we collect a new category of consumer health data, or use it for a new purpose.
Where it comes from
- You, when you record a check-in, ask a question or make a correction.
- Your devices, for the sources you turn on, on each one.
- Services you connect, as you authorise.
- Us, where we create information from your record.
Consumer health data we share
We don't sell consumer health data. We may share any of the categories above only where you direct us to, or where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that process it on our behalf, under contract and only to provide the Service: providers of cloud hosting and storage, AI models and speech-to-text.
- Services or people you choose, where you direct us to share it.
- Authorities and others, where the law requires it.
We don't share consumer health data with affiliates.
Your rights, and how to use them
If you're a consumer in Washington, you have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and access it, including a list of everyone we've shared it with and how to contact them;
- withdraw your consent, by turning off the source on each device, or by writing to us; and
- have your consumer health data deleted. We'll delete it from our records, and tell our service providers to delete it too. Copies in backups are deleted within a limited period.
To make a request, write to privacy@unvelt.co. If you have an account, write from its email address. You don't need to create an account to make a request. We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours.
We respond within 45 days. If we need longer, up to another 45 days, we'll tell you why within the first 45. Requests are free up to twice a year.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, or by writing to privacy@unvelt.co with “Appeal” in the subject. We'll tell you in writing what we've decided, and why, within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
