Terms of Service
- unvelt is for people 18 and over, by invite for now.
- Your record is yours. We use it only to provide the Service to you.
- AI writes parts of your record, and it can be wrong.
- Plans are sold on the web. You can cancel any time.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Kanishak Sangwan, an individual based in India (“unvelt”, “we”, “us”), for the unvelt apps, website and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them.
Paid plans are sold through our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record and may have its own terms for your purchase.
The Service
unvelt records information from devices and services you choose, writes it into a record of your days, partly with AI, and lets you ask questions about it.
The Service is in early access. Features may change, be added or be removed, and we don't promise any particular availability during early access.
Days, descriptions, guesses and answers may be incomplete or wrong. Don't rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over. Access is by invite while the Service is in early access.
- The Service isn't currently offered to residents of Illinois. We may change where the Service is offered at any time.
- An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- You're responsible for the devices and services you connect, and for having the right to connect them.
Your content
You own your record and the content you provide. You give us permission to host, process and display it only as needed to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't sell it or use it to train AI models.
You can delete your content at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to record or monitor another person without their knowledge and any consent the law requires;
- access, interfere with or disrupt the Service, or try to get around its security or limits;
- reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it; or
- use the Service in breach of any law.
Plans, trials and payment
- Paid plans are sold only on our website. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you buy.
- New plans start with a 14-day free trial that doesn't require a card. If you don't choose a plan when the trial ends, the trial ends.
- Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on the website, and your plan continues until the end of the period you paid for. We'll remind you before a yearly plan renews.
- Founding prices apply for as long as you keep the plan without a break.
- We may change prices for future periods with notice to you before they apply.
- When you buy a plan, the refund terms are shown before you pay.
If a plan ends
Your record isn't deleted because a trial or paid plan ends. You can come back to it, unless it has been inactive for three years, as our Privacy Policy describes, and you can delete it yourself at any time. Recording may continue for up to 30 days, unless you pause it, and some features, such as asking questions and new days being written, pause until you choose a plan.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we need to for legal reasons, with notice where reasonably possible. We may also end the Service, with reasonable notice, and you'll be able to request a copy of your data before it ends.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” during early access, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have under the law where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
